Project 3- Marketing Plan Analysis

 

Driving Question

What and how do marketers plan?

 

Project Description:

This project acquaints students with marketing plans, their purposes,

and their components.  Students will select a marketing plan from http://www.mplans.com  (go to the link

and click on the ‘Sample Plans’ tab on the top to pick your plan.) You will analyze designated

components of the selected marketing plan and answer the questions provided.

 

Objectives/Performance Indicators:

  • Explain the concept of marketing strategies (LAP MP 002)

  • Explain the concept of market and market identification (LAP MP 003)

  • Explain the nature of marketing plans (LAP MP 007)

 

Directions:

Read your selected marketing plan and answer the following questions about the

company’s marketing strategies and target market(s), recording your responses in the spaces

provided. Be specific in all of your answers. Be prepared to present on Monday.

 

1. Name of the business and provide a description of what it is or does.

2. What are the strategies the company plans to use that address the 4 Ps?

3. How would you change those strategies?

4. Who is the business’s target market?

5. Is the market a business/industrial or consumer market?

6. How was the target market determined?

7. What other target markets can you identify for the company?
