Activity:  Each individual will research a regulation or law relating to Human Resources.  Then, using the attached Google slide template, create a presentation to educate us all on your chosen law or regulation. Here are some hints or places to start if you cannot think of anything specific/

  • Legislation related to equal employment

  • Regulations related to human resources in businesses.

  • Regulations related to hiring decisions

  • Regulations that affect promotion decisions

  • Regulations on employee dismissal

  • Legislation that affects employees’ wages and salaries

Include in your presentation:

  • History of the law or regulation.

    • What brought it about?

    • When was it enacted and by who?

  • Describe the law or regulation.

    • What it does?

    • Who does it protect?

  • How does it protect employees?

  • Is it still important in today's world and why or why not?

  • Anything else you think is important for us to know about the law or regulation.
